Research

Beyond Bullying conducts scientific research into the management and prevention of workplace bullying, and our practice is underscored by an evidence-based, scientific approach. We are always looking for organisations or individuals who are willing to be involved in this pursuit. The importance of good research cannot be underestimated, and for an organisation, being involved in research should be seen as a means of innovation, and a mark of commitment to improving conditions for staff, and caring for their health and well-being.

Research might involve:

  • Questionnaires/surveys
  • Interviews
  • Analysis of records/reporting systems

and other methods as appropriate to the specific aim of the research project.

In particular, we are currently planning research projects on:

  • The effectiveness of current reporting systems, and how reporting systems could be improved;
  • Different methods for dealing with being bullied, from current advances in stress management; research
  • The effectiveness (or otherwise) of zero-tolerance policies;
  • Improving the ways we identify and assess the risk of bullying at work, in a risk management framework.

Both Anne Wyatt and Carlo Caponecchia work within tertiary institutions, and can supervise postgraduate student research.

If you or your organisation would like to know more about being a research partner, or contributing funds to further Australian research on workplace bullying, Please Contact us here.
