ORGANISATIONS THAT CAN HELP

  • Beyond Blue is an Australian organisation that provides information about depression to consumers, carers and health professionals

  • Headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing under the Youth Mental Health Initiative Program.

  • Lifeline provides a 24 hour crisis telephone counselling service, and a variety of other services across Australia

  • MensLine Australia is the national telephone support, information and referral service for men with family and relationship concerns.

  • SANE Australia is a national charity working for a better life for people affected by mental illness

  • The Line is an Australian Government website aimed at increasing knowledge about respectful relationships

  • Relationships Australia provides a wide range of relationship services and research

  • The NSW Anti-discrimination board investigates and conciliates complaints of discrimination, harassment and vilification. It informs and educates the people of NSW, employers and service providers about their rights and responsibilities under anti-discrimination law.   • The Australian Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission (HREOC) has information and resources on  discrimination, harassment and bullying

  • Mental Health Associations in all States and Territories around Australia offer information, advocacy services and resources on mental health issues

  • ACAS UK (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service) aims to improve organisations and working life through better employment relations

  • Talking Minds provides individual therapy and counselling in a number of areas including in relation to workplace bullying. Ms Trudy Wilson is the principal counsellor and therapist. A Medicare rebate may apply with a referral from a GP under a Mental Health Care Plan.
